Buying gifts is one of the most confusing things, whether it’s a birthday, baby shower, or anniversary. If the mom-to-be or new mom doesn’t prepare a baby shower registry with all products she needs, we’re always out of creative ideas.
Although there are a million things to gift a new mother, we always opt for one of two things; bouncers and money. Don’t get me wrong, money is always a good idea but if you want to get creative, check out this list. And no, a diaper cake isn’t one of them.
Baby room decoration
A nice newborn gift is to decorate the nursing or baby room. Just make sure you ask the parents about their preferred style.
Baby hand and foot sculpture
A really creative way to save the child’s birth memory is the clay sculpture of the newborn’s hand and foot. You can get yours here.
Customized gold pendant or bracelet
Gold is a classic valuable gift for new moms and babies. Just make it extra special by customizing it. It shows a lot of care.
Baby food steamer and blender
Avent created this easy, convenient, and time-saving steamer and blender. Any mom will love it when she introduces solids to her baby. You’ll find this at most baby-products suppliers and Jumia.
If the mom is bottle-feeding, this one will really get in handy.
One thing that we all assume mothers already have is a diaper bag, but it’s not always the case. Any new mom will love an edgy and stylish diaper bag. I personally love Skip Hop‘s diaper bags; they’re a bit pricey, but the trendiest.
Year-long underwear set
Get the baby onesies of different sizes and styles that can be used all year long. This is the most used newborn item and nobody thinks about it.
Mama and Me clothing set
Boy or girl, moms love being matchy-matchy with their babies. Besides, it’s cool.
Customized Milestones Book
Every mom wants one, but we really don’t the luxury to think about non-essentials. Customize it for her.
If the mom lives in a spacious house or villa, she’ll probably need one.
Every mom is usually stuck with one bedding set. It’s nice to have an extra one for a change.
