Over the past few years, public health has been on top of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s agenda. The national initiative 100 Million Seha prioritizes women’s health amongst other crucial healthcare issues. The Campaign aims at emphasizing the importance of free access to healthcare. Thankfully, there has been a noticeable rise in the number of hospitals and medical centers that offer free or reasonably priced consultation and treatment for different types of cancers in Egypt.
The following is a list of specialized centers in early breast cancer screening, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer, including non-governmental and non-profit organizations (NGO/NPO):
The National Cancer Hospital and Institute in the First Settlement, New Cairo
The hospital is a branch of the National Cancer Institute in Cairo specialized in breast cancer research, early breast cancer screening and treatment. It offers 24/7 services related to early detection such as ultrasounds, mammograms and more.
Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt (BCFE)
BCFE is the first NGO/NPO to specialize in the treatment of breast cancer. Operating since 2004, the foundation offers all the medical services related to breast cancer, including group support.
Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment for Breast Cancer
Founded in February 2015, Baheya is a non-profit charity that offers free of charge early breast Cancer Screening, detection and treatment services.
