Ramadan’s mosalsalat are no joke in Egypt. Producers, directors, scriptwriters, and actors work for endless months to blow viewers’ minds every year. Long gone are the days when we had 30+ series to choose from. This year, the number of series is limited, but most of them already have huge fan bases.
We’ve been watching endless hours of television series these past five days and we finally landed on one of the best scripts and production this year: Al Qahera kabul. While I’m closely following seven other series and already loving Le’bet Newton, Hagma Mortada, and Al Ikhteyar, Al Qahera Kabul is so far a league of its own.

What do we need in Ramadan? A fast-developing yet rich script and dialogue, thrilling plot, good acting, and to be kept on the edge of our seats; Al Qahera Kabul delivers all flawlessly.

The show -starring Tarek Lotfy, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmed Rizq, and Khaled ElSawy- sheds light on the terrorist acts taking place in the Arab region, especially Egypt, through the stories of four best friends -the terrorist Ramzy, the police officer Adel who tries to interrogate him, the broadcaster Tarek Kassab who reports the events to the audience, and Khaled the film director.
Needless to mention, the incredibly talented Hanan Mowtae’ who plays the role of an Arabic teacher who cannot get over her university crush, who is now a terrorist.

The show is perfection. Trust me, you won’t regret watching it. The actors are doing a phenomenal job. I’m not into politics at all, my Ramadan content is more of betrayals and infidelities, but this series is too good to miss.
