Yesterday, a warning message circulated on social media about the weather for the next few days. The message stated that Egypt will face a serious weather turbulence that might be accompanied by a thunderstorm, sand storm, and heavy rain. Egyptians are advised all over social media to reschedule trips and flights to end before Thursday.

To prevent the mess that might take place in the streets, a group of Egyptian men who save people during rain with their cars, Rescue Squad, announced that this time they will be waiting in their Jeeps at Air Forces Hospital gas station, in Fifth Settlement. The cars will move upon receiving calls from people trapped in different locations. Their service is free of charge.
How to contact the Rescue Squad:
- Husseiny: 01006112343
- Mahmoud Ossama: 01140705553
- Amr Mansour: 01024444496
- Andrew: 01228215856
- Hassan: 01222220011
They also listed some tips that people need to take into consideration to avoid being stuck in the rain, which is a common consequence every time we face similar weather.
- Avoid Petrosport and Al-Shorta Mosque squares and 90 Street and Gulf tunnels in New Cairo.
- If the car stopped, don’t try to restart the engine.
- Move cars out of garages.
- Don’t park your car under billboards or trees.
They called out for anyone with four-wheel drives who wants to participate in their mission to rescue Egyptians. Last month, we faced a similar rain crisis and these young men did a phenomenal job.
Stay safe everyone!
