According to the CDC, 1 in 54 children suffers from Autism. This makes it quite a common disorder, one that requires raising awareness and promoting inclusion within the society.
Recently, the Egyptian Autistic Society in collaboration with McDonald’s started a campaign to promote inclusion and raise awareness on autism in Egypt. The campaign, In this together, allows adults on the autism spectrum to work as interns in some Mcdonald’s branches across Cairo and promote a healthy environment to bridge the gap created in the society.
In the video below, you’ll see Mcdonald’s employees teaching the adults in training how to prepare meals and work around the different tasks in a daily job at McDonald’s.
In the banner below, the campaign aims to shed light on the fact that people on the autism spectrum helped in preparing your order.
