Rahet Bally has been the talk of the town this week. The comprehensive mommy platform has managed to organize one of the biggest mommy/child events that has ever taken place in Cairo. From live entertainment, endless play areas, arcades, animation teams, inspirational speakers, live cooking shows and so much more.
A star that shined incredibly bright the past weekend was Farida, our exquisite fashion model also known as Didi, and her super momma Noha Farrag who were perfectly dressed by fashion designer, Nada Akram. The 38-year-old mom of twins shared with us her inspiring journey.
“Farida was diagnosed with down syndrome on the day of her delivery. At first, I didn’t understand as we waited five years to have children and it only happened via IVF after two failed trials,” Noha told us. The mom was told at the hospital that Farida had down syndrome and it took them two weeks to get the final test results.
The confirmed diagnosis was hard to accept at first, but the mother knew she had a challenge ahead of her and that Farida needed her to be happy and safe. The mother soon embarked on a journey that was all about Farida reaching her milestones and utilizing her full potentials.
“She was smart from the day she was born. She always looked at me and smiled as if she was telling me that she could do it and shine as bright as her sister,” she added. “Didi is 7.5 years old, finished her nursery years and now she is at school. Sometimes, her speech could be challenging, but she found her own pace and loves to sing and dance. So when Rahet Bally asked us to model for Nada Akram’s collection at The Rahet Bally Experience, I couldn’t miss the chance.”
Noha believes that Farida is a rising star and the light of their home and she couldn’t have done it without the support of her husband, family, and friends. “My message to all mommies is to love your children the way they are. They were born for a reason, wait and they will surprise you. It’s is ok to be worried and be sad sometimes but stay strong and stick together as a family.”
“Don’t let anyone underestimate what u do for your kids. You are doing the best you can and no one will ever love them more than you. It is normal to be stressed out sometimes, but make time for yourself,” the supermom explained.
Noha shared a shoutout to her other beautiful daughter, “I love you so much Hoda. You are a blessing. I love the way you love your sister and I know that you still don’t get what down syndrome is but I like the way you keep asking and searching to help me support your sister.”
Now that’s what we call a beautiful family and a support system!
