The entire world is going through a very difficult time as we speak. Many countries are facing lockdowns, panic is all over the place as the world sits and watches the ongoing chaos coronavirus has caused. With the two week suspension of schools ahead, we should all keep our kids home to help contain the virus. Needless to say, staying at home with children full of energy is not an easy task. The kids will definitely be bored out of their minds, but hopefully, we can manage this phase to help overcome the spread of the virus.
Here are a few ideas/tips to keep your kids busy during the two-week break:
Read! Read! Read!
This is definitely a good tip to keep your kids busy. Read a book or two daily. Have your child either read a book alone or read a book with them.
Blocks and puzzles
This activity is good for all age groups. Build things with blocks and have your kids engage themselves with all kinds of puzzles which will keep them busy.
Bake and Cook
Take your kids to the kitchen and bake and cook together. It will be a fun way to bond with your loved ones.
Watch a movie together
We all definitely want to stay away from screen-time as much as possible, but watching a movie with your kids won’t do any harm.
Have your kids help with the house chores
Show your kids what your day-to-day chores are and have them help around with the house depending on their age group.
Try to be as creative as possible, have your kids make up their own stories and do the same thing yourself. Spice it up with some costumes that can be available in their closets.
Play sports in the house. Turn on some music and do some Zumba. It will definitely be a fun way to get some energy out.
Color or paint together. Make different drawings and color them together. Sponge paint, finger paint or just regular paint will definitely be a fun way to pass time.
