Recently Islamic adoption “kafala” has been a social media trend since the airing of “Leh Laa 2” series. The series shed light on kafala as it narrated the story of a single woman who decides to adopt a child. The show showed the challenges of adoption with society’s stigma coming on top. Following the huge success of the series, the number of kafala requests in Egypt massively increased.
On March 2020 we were honored to interview Yomna Dahroug, the founder of Kafala in Egypt. The non-profit organization is created to encourage people to adopt children while highlighting the Egyptian kafala rules and regulations. The founder frequently shares her beautiful adoption story.

We from belgium and we would like to do kafala in Egypt ,is IT possible for is as foreigner to manage kafala in Egypt ?OR is this only allowed for egyptians?
