I believe that the most painful feeling in this world is realizing that you can never be a mother one day. The despair you feel in your broken heart can’t be put into words. Those were the feelings of Egyptian actress, Maha Abu Auf, when her gynecologist gave her the shocking news a long time ago.
During an interview on Sahbet ElSa’ada show, hosted by Isaad Younis, Abu Auf shared her inspiring story. It’s a story full of tears, frustration, hope, and above all belief in God’s will. We wanted to share this story with every woman having difficulties getting pregnant; not just to give her hope, but most importantly to remind her that God’s will conquer all.
15 years of suffering
The beautiful actress shared the details of her journey while trying to become a mother. Abu Auf tried to get pregnant for 15 years and all the attempts failed. Doctors agreed that she can never get pregnant. The actress had 11 ovarian cysts and even in vitro fertilization (IVF) didn’t work with her.
The star traveled the world, not for tourism, but to try to find a cure for her case. Unfortunately, she kept receiving the same frustrating results. The story got worse when her medical advisors suggested a hysterectomy (uterus removal) to avoid a false pregnancy as it’s a serious condition. She refused to do the surgery.
Unbelievable plot twist
After 15 years of torture, Abu Auf gave up and believed that she had to accept God’s. At that time she decided to adopt a child so she can fulfill her motherhood dream. This is when a plot twist turned her life upside down.
Abu Auf felt pain in the stomach and assumed it had something to do with the cysts. After visiting her gynecologist, he asked her to take some tests immediately. Waiting for the test results, she was literally dying from fear. After 15 minutes, the doctor shocked her.
Miracles do happen

Against all odds, she finally got pregnant. The doctor told her that this was the most inspiring and biggest lesson he learned in his entire career; never tell a woman she will never get pregnant. After nine months, she gave birth to her son and the love of her life.
To all the women out there struggling, you are warriors. Always remember never to lose hope. God opens a door when you least expect it.
