Daily Biotin supplement
Biotin is a B-complex vitamin. According to a study by the National Library of Medicine, it helps strengthen nails and hair. While some recommend taking Biotin daily, you have to always consult your dermatologist. You can also enrich your diet with foods that are high in vitamin B like eggs, nuts, whole grains, bananas, mushrooms, and cauliflower.
File your nails
File your nails once a week in one direction as going back and forth can make the nails crack. It’s better to wet your nails before filing them to make the process less harsh. File them in a square or rounded shape as sharp nails can be easily broken or chipped.
Hydrate with cuticle oil
We tend to mistakenly shorten the cuticles. This exposes the nail beds and might cause infection. The best thing is to hydrate the cuticles with a cuticle oil or serum. They also help the nails grow faster and stronger and stop breaking.
Moisturize your hands
Your nails are part of your hands and their dryness means your nails are dry too. Dry nails are more likely to crack and are prone to fungal and bacterial infections. Regularly moisturize your hands especially after it’s exposed to water. It’s better to wash the dishes wearing gloves to avoid exposure to harsh detergents as well.

According to a study, artificial nails can weaken real nails. We all resort to those solutions when we are not satisfied with our real nails’ shape or length. However, this way we’re not giving our nails the time to grow strongly.
