It seems as though everyone is striving for perfection, no matter how hard we try to avoid pushing ourselves to be perfect. Teenagers everywhere struggle so much while trying to be perfect, the standards of perfection are just way too high.
Whether it’s the models that don’t seem to have an ounce of additional weight, plastered on all the magazines, or the urge to starve yourself in order to fit in and be attractive. A lesson that I learned the hard way was that there is no such thing as being perfect.

Everyone has their flaws, however everyone has qualities that make them beautiful and unique in their own way. Like many other teens nowadays, my insecurities can sometimes grab a hold of me making me feel as if I’m less than everyone else, but recently I’ve been trying to understand that NO ONE, absolutely no one, is perfect as crazy as it sounds.

It can sometimes be very hard to live up to society’s expectations, but all of us need to understand that perfection does not exist and that instead of striving for perfection, we must strive to be the best version of ourselves.
