One of the major problems that come with winter is the dry, wrinkly skin that is such a nuisance. If you find yourself facing problems with your skin during the cold winter months, then it’s time to follow a skincare routine that is absolutely perfect for winter.
Our very own Nadine El Sherbiny walks you through a spot-on skincare routine that will keep your skin moisturized and avoid the dryness that comes with the cold weather.
In her video, Sherbiny explains her tips and tricks by following the below skincare routine:
Water
The first and foremost skincare tip every woman should add to her daily routine is water. Start your day with a glass of water and make sure you get at least 6-8 glasses of water during the day to keep your skin hydrated.
Cleanser
Use a cleanser that gives hydration, rather than one that removes essential oils from the skin. Sherbiny recommends a product in her video and explains why it is very good for dry and sensitive skin.
Serum
Even though most people tend to forget about this step, it is actually one of the most important. That’s because it’s thin consistency allows it to be absorbed into the skin and keep it nourished and hydrated. Check the video to see which serum El Sherbiny recommends.
Face cream
In some cases, you’ll find that the serum you used in the previous step is more than enough, but if you feel your skin is still dry, then you need to apply face cream.
Lip balm
One of the features that get most affected by the weather are the lips. During winter, it is quite common to have cracked, dry lips. Using lip balm will help remove the dead, dry skin and will also moisturize your lips, allowing your makeup to set better.
Springwater
Throughout the day, it is very likely for your skin to go dry as it is exposed to different weather conditions and environments during the winter. An excellent tip to prevent this dryness is to spray spring water every now and then. This will not affect your makeup but will keep your skin hydrated and looking extra fresh.
