There’s a new trend happening in schools as well as clubs that can lead to severe damage to children such as paralysis or even worse: death! Children are capturing footage as they deliberately trip over a person as they jump in the air and film them as they fall on their backs, sometimes even smashing their heads against the floor. All this is done so they can upload it to TikTok and get more views.
A concerned mother, Menna Helmy, took to social media to post the following warning:
Please mommies talk to your kids about this. It’s a trend in schools and they upload it on TikTok thinking it’s cool. When I asked my kids, they said they saw people doing it in school and at the club. This is fatal. Rabena ye7faz weladna.
The video below shows how viral this challenge has gone as many kids are taking part in it, even students of Cairo English School in Egypt:
الحركة دي طالعه تريند على النت… الولاد بيعملوها هزار وهم مش فاهمين ان ممكن ييجي من وراها مصايب …نبهوا أولادكم وفهموهم بلاش الهزار اللي فيه مجرد إحتمال أذى لحد

The challenge is spreading like wild fire amongst children, tweens and even teenagers, making it extremely dangerous as the children think it’s cool and tend to copy what they see.
The head bump against the hard concrete floor could lead to severe brain damage, or even deadly consequences. The challenge is trending worldwide and rumours are being spread about the death of two kids as a result of it.
We urge all parents to warn their children from taking part in this viral challenge and talking to them about the dangers and consequences that could take place.
We hope all our children are kept safe and that these dangerous social media trends come to an end.
